Oracles
Overview of the oracles used by Molend.
Within the context of borrowing and lending, oracles are an essential part of the infrastructure. In particular, Oracles are needed to correctly price an asset, as asset prices are not directly available on the blockchain.
Molend uses Pyth and RedStone oracles as its source of prices. Pyth is trusted by over 300 dApps and can provide price data with millisecond latency at a very low cost. RedStone is the leading Modular oracle supporting LRTs, LSTs, Ethena and other popular yield-bearing assets.
